Definition of Services:

Reflexology is a holistic complementary therapy that involves applying gentle pressure to specific points on the feet, hands, or ears, which are believed to correspond to different areas of the body.  This therapeutic technique aims to promote relaxation, improve overall well-being, and support the body's natural healing processes.

While reflexology can be an effective way to reduce stress and enhance your sense of balance and calm, it is not a substitute for medical diagnosis, treatment, or advice. Clients are encouraged to consult a qualified healthcare professional for any medical concerns or conditions.

3. TERMS

This agreement commences on the date that it is accepted by you and will remain in force during the provision of the services, unless extended by agreement or terminated earlier. The treatment schedule will be arranged between the Therapist and the client and can be booked up to 3 months in advance. Louise will recommend the frequency of treatment sessions based on a professional assessment of the client’s requirements. This recommendation, or plan, is not binding and may be altered and adjusted throughout the treatment journey by mutual agreement, in accordance with the terms set out in this agreement. Where no specific number is agreed, sessions will be provided on a session by session basis.

In return for the fees payable by the client (or by a third party on their behalf), Louise agrees to provide the services purchased by the client in accordance with the terms and conditions here described. The client agrees to pay fees for the service on the terms and conditions set out below (in situations where a third party pays the fees, the third party counts as an agent acting on behalf of the client).

4. Client Eligibility

  • Health Conditions: To ensure the safety and effectiveness of your reflexology session, clients are required to disclose any relevant medical conditions, injuries, allergies, or illnesses prior to treatment. This information helps tailor the session to your specific needs and ensures that reflexology is suitable for you. Failure to provide accurate health details may result in adjustments to your treatment plan or, in some cases, the need to postpone the session until it is deemed safe to proceed. All information shared will be treated with the utmost confidentiality.

  • Age Restrictions: There is no minimum age for treatment, however minors will require parental consent before commencing treatment.   Parent/Guardians will need to be present at the appointment with any minors.

5. Consultation and Consent

  • Initial Consultation: An initial consultation is required before your first reflexology session. This allows us to discuss your medical history, lifestyle, and any specific concerns or goals you have for the treatment. The information gathered will help ensure the session is tailored to your individual needs, providing a safe and effective experience.

  • Consent Form: Before your reflexology session, you will be asked to complete and sign a consent form. This confirms your understanding of the treatment, its purpose, and any potential considerations. The form ensures that you have provided all necessary health information and agree to proceed with the therapy.

  • Pre-Treatment Check In:  At the start of each reflexology session, a brief check-in will take place to discuss any changes in your symptoms, health, or well-being since your last treatment. This allows the session to be adjusted to address any new concerns or priorities, ensuring that each treatment is as effective and supportive as possible.

6. Treatment Policy

  • Treatment Expectations: During a reflexology session, you can expect to relax in a comfortable setting while gentle pressure is applied to specific areas of your feet, hands, or face.  Sessions typically last 60 minutes, depending on your treatment plan. You’ll remain fully clothed, with only your shoes and socks removed, so it’s best to wear comfortable clothing. The aim is to create a calming experience tailored to your needs.

  • Results Disclaimer: Results from reflexology sessions may vary from person to person. While many clients experience a sense of relaxation, improved well-being, and other positive effects, these outcomes cannot be guaranteed. Reflexology is a complementary therapy and works alongside the body’s natural processes, with benefits often building over time.

On rare occasions, if the body has a lot of healing to do, symptoms may increase before they get better or new symptoms may surface, which can sometimes feel uncomfortable.  This is known as a healing response and is completely normal.  It is important to discuss any concerns with Louise so that adjustments can be made or further advice can be given.  There may also be times when it becomes necessary to pause treatments to allow the body time to recuperate, and this will be discussed with the client.  Alternative therapies can be recommended should the client or Louise feel that the reflexology treatments are not suitable for them.

7. Appointments and Cancellations

  • Booking Policy: Appointments can be made through the third party booking app “Fresha” or clients can contact Louise directly to book in.
  • Cancellation Policy:  I kindly request at least 24 hours’ notice if you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment. Cancellations made less than 24 hours before your scheduled time, or missed appointments without notice, will incur full payment of the session. This policy allows us to offer your appointment slot to other clients and ensures the smooth running of our schedule. I appreciate your understanding and cooperation.

  • Rescheduling:  If you need to reschedule your appointment, please provide at least 24 hours' notice. This will allow me to offer your original time slot to other clients and accommodate your preferred new time. I will do my best to find a suitable alternative for you. If less than 24 hours' notice is given, a rescheduling fee may apply. I appreciate your understanding and cooperation.

8. Payment Terms

  • Payment Methods:  Payments can be made by cash, card or bank transfer on the day of your appointment.
  • Refund Policy:  Refunds are not typically offered for missed appointments or cancellations made less than 24 hours in advance. However, if you need to cancel your appointment with sufficient notice (24 hours or more), I can offer a rescheduled session or credit towards future treatments. In exceptional circumstances, please contact me to discuss your situation, and I will do my best to accommodate your needs. Thank you for your understanding.

For a refund to be considered on a package of treatments (i.e.  6 – 8 sessions), the following applies:

a)  If during this treatment period of 6-8 sessions, The Client feels dissatisfied

with the service The Client must open communications with The Therapist via

email, outlining the reasons that are of concern to The Client

  • Disclaimer:  Reflexology is a complementary therapy that aims to support overall well-being and promote relaxation.
