I'm Louise
Reflexologist, Massage Therapist and Home Educating Mother to 2.
I support exhausted, overwhelmed parents to find time for themselves to help them feel calm, balanced and better able to support their families.
Working with those with anxious, overactive minds to feel clear and focused and more in control.
I help people with chronic pain to ease tension and pain and enable them to live a more full joyful life.
Is your mind racing a million miles an hour?
Through the healing touch of reflexology, we'll bring your thoughts into focus and turn the mental chaos into calm clarity.
Step into peace and leave with a mind that makes sense again
Feeling overwhelmed and running on empty?
Reflexology offers more than just rest. It's your sanctuary to refuel and rejuvenate so you can embrace parenthood with renewed energy and healthier coping mechanisms
We care for you, so you can better care for them.
You don't have to live in discomfort.
Reflexology eases tension, reduces pain, and helps your body find relief.
Move freely, live pain-free, and get back to what you love.
As a Reflexologist my aim is to open up blocked energy pathways in your body to allow your body the space to heal and rebalance.
Reflexology can promote deep relaxation, reduce stress and optimise good health.
Reflexology is a touch based therapy that uses points on the feet, which are said to correspond to parts of the body, to promote wellness, relaxation and balance within the body, both physically and emotionally.
Reflexology is suitable for all ages and across various ailments. There are some cases when reflexology would not be suitable and a thorough consultation will take place on your first visit, before any treatment commences. In some cases, a doctors approval will be needed before treatment can begin.
Reflexology is not a substitute for medical advice.
I am based inside Willows Counselling in Prospect Place, Swindon and see clients from Old Town, Swindon and the surrounding areas.
Everyone is different and the response to Reflexology can be immediate or sometimes take longer than one appointment, but often benefits can be seen after 4-5 sessions. Regular weekly treatments are best for the body properly beginning the self-healing process, and following an initial consultation I will suggest the number of Reflexology sessions I think we should undertake.
Reflexologists cannot claim to diagnose or cure, but during a treatment I get 'feedback' as to which parts of the body are working well and which are not. Sometimes Reflexology will highlight a specific area which is struggling or working hard to maintain your wellbeing; if a particular reflex point shows this kind of reaction I'll discuss it with you at the end of the session.
Reflexology is performed entirely on the feet, face or hands, so the most you’ll have to do is take off your socks and roll up your trousers! During the treatment the client lies on their back on a treatment couch, supported by pillows and covered with a soft blanket to keep them warm.
And don’t worry - reflexology doesn't tickle! Many clients come to me with ticklish feet or worried about their feet being touched, but find they can relax and enjoy the benefits of Reflexology.
You might find some areas feel sensitive to the touch, but Reflexology does not involve hard pressing in the way something like a sports massage might. As a therapist I will be aware of the status of your feet, noticing how they feel, the temperature and colour. All these things play a part in understanding which areas of your body - as reflected through your feet - require a bit more care and attention.
Not necessarily, but after an initial course of treatment many people choose to check in monthly for a top-up, to help maintain their general wellbeing, or as a scheduled 'de-stress'. Other clients will get back in touch if they start feeling aches and pains, arranging treatments as and when they need them.
If I feel you would benefit from a course of treatments, I will discuss this with you after consultation has taken place.
